Fantom slobode
Coincidence is the great master of things. I feel a special tenderness toward The Phantom of Liberty, perhaps because it tackles this difficult theme.

"The Phantom of Liberty is a very complex film, rich in detail and symbolism. The surrealist images range from the comical to the profane, from the rational to the absurd, and from the ambiguous to the poetic. The film questions our perception of freedom. However, as with all great artists, Buñuel did not provide any answers, he just posed the questions. This film is likely to leave the viewer in doubt, thinking about its meaning and trying to decipher its intricate iconography. As with many great films, The Phantom of Liberty stays with the viewer long after its ending."

I ja sam veliki Bunjuelov
I ja sam veliki Bunjuelov fan, dvaput sam u Kinoteci odgledao ceo ciklus njegovih filmova. Pretpostavljam da su neke od onih faca koje su, poput mene, visile na svim projekcijama - toliko da smo se vec prepoznavali dok smo stajali u foajeu i cekali da nas razvodnik pusti unutra - kasnije i sami postali reziseri ili imali nekakve veze sa filmom.
Sad sam u Bresonovoj fazi, pregledavam sve njegove filmove (ima ih ukupno 13), potaknut recima Suzan Zontag da je Breson veci reditelj i od Bunjuela. I da znas da mislim da nije daleko od istine.

Eh, da, dobri stari Bunjuel. I ja sam inace odgledala sve cikluse njegovih (i puno drugih) filmova u Kinoteci....i znala sam sve face, naravno :) (osim u Kinoteci, vidjali smo se redovno i na jos nekim mjestima gdje su se prikazivali najbolji filmovi u Bgd. u to doba (mala sala Studenjaka).
Breson mi je dobar, mada njega bas ne poznajem tako dobro kao Bunjuela (gledala apsolutno sve filmove po bar 5-6 puta :)))
